Abstract

This page explains data copied to the clipboard of COSMOS.

[Step 1] Clipboard Data Types

COSMOS' clipboard is able to handle the following data formats.
  1. Image data
  2. Text data
    1. Plain text
    2. XML
      1. Search conditions
      2. Warp points
      3. Warp point menu data
      4. Backtrack data

[Step 2] image

When the focus is placed on a map ( the browsing panelajin the browser window , the corresponding JPEG images are copied. It is not allowed to paste any images to the browsing panel.

[Step 3] Plain Text

Normal text can be copied and pasted, for example in the following locations:
  1. Warp boxes in the browser window or character areas in the Displayed Coordinates tab
  2. Condition identification titles, URL Search or Time in the Query Edit window
  3. Title edition in the Warp Menu Edit window
@Backtrack@ information, warp points and other text information encoded in XML format can also be pasted, but doing so may not make sense in some cases.

[MEMO] The text information mentioned above can also be copied and pasted into other applications, sent via emails, pasted into other COSMOS instances etc.

[Step 4] Search Conditions

  1. Search Conditions tab in the browser window
  2. Home and Navigation Conditions panels in the Preferences dialog
  3. Detail search conditions in the Warp Menu Edit window


[MEMO] The text information mentioned above can also be copied and pasted into other applications, sent via emails, pasted into other COSMOS instances etc.

[Step 5] Warp Point

  1. Warp points can be copied and pasted via the Copy Place Info menu item of the Edit menu of the browser window .
  2. Only the Paste menu item of the Edit menu of the Warp Menu Edit window .
Warp points and warp point menus are slightly different in terms of structure. The latter is organized as an actual menu and has functions such as menu set, network menu and so on.

If you paste a warp point into the browser window, the COSMOS viewer jumps to the pasted warp point information. If you paste a warp point into the Warp Menu Edit window, on the other hand, a menu is created.

[Step 6] Warp Point Menu

  1. Only the Paste sub-menu of the Edit menu of the Warp Menu Edit window

If you copy information using the backtrack function and paste it into the browser window, COSMOS refers to the gateway information and shows the same layer.
