Abstract
This page explains how to download and install the COSMOS installer for Windows XP.[UP] Go To Page Top

Open the GLOBALBASE Website (http://www.globalbase.org). Then, click the links marked with red circles in Fig.(01) to Fig.(04) in succession.

[Step 2] Installer Download (2)
The COSMOS download page Fig.(05) appears. In this page, you can find COSMOS installers for Windows as well as for other architectures; look for the download area entitled gbs-client-windows-2000_XP.

The page shown in Fig.(06) lists various installers of COSMOS for Windows. They are all entitled gbs-client-windows-2000_XP, and arranged from the newest to oldest versions; click the newest version.
In this example, ver.B.b07 of cosmos_setup_.zip is the newest version; click cosmos_setup_.zip.

A warning shown in Fig.(07) appears; click the Open button.

When downloading is completed, a folder like the one shown in Fig.(08) opens; expand the cosmos_setup folder.

The executable file named Setup shown in Fig.(09) is the installer.

[Step 6] Launching Installer(1)
If you click Setup, the warning shown in Fig.(10) appears; click the Run button.

When you click the Run button, the installer opens.

Specify the folder in which to place the program executable file. If there is no need to change the default folder, simple click the Next button.

If you are installing this version of GLOBALBASE COSMOS for the first time, enable the Install the program check box. Fig.(13) ａB If the same version of GLOBALBASE COSMOS has already been installed and only settings for Netscape are performed, do not enable the check box.

If you are using Netscape enable Set the Netscape-Mimetype check box Fig.(14) . If you are not using Netscape it is not necessary to enable the check box. Click the Next button to start the installation.
