Abstract

LOCALBASE allows you to edit plot data. This section explains how to do so.

System Requirements

LOCALBASE must be installed on a server that provides edit functions via a browser interface, such that it is possible to edit server-side content via an edit window embedded in a web page.

[Step 1] Explanation of Window

Fig.(Edit Screen) Among the buttons at the top of the main window of the GLOBALBASE-HTTP gateway, you will see Add, Change, Delete and Save buttons. These buttons are used to add, change and delete plot data and save the edited data, respectively. After adding, changing and deleting data, you can commit the changes by clicking the Save button.

Fig.(Adding plot data (3)) : Enter the required data in the input window. Enter the relevant URL strings in the Link Destination URL field if the entry items are available via WWW. Leave the field blank if there are no related URLs. After entry of each item is completed, click the OK button at the bottom of the window to plot the data on a map. Note that the window displayed here is just an example. The actual input items vary depending on the settings on the server side. Moreover, please be aware that it may take several seconds before the plot data is actually reflected on the web page.

[CHECK] Confirmation of plot data To confirm that the plotted data is correct, click the Move button and then click the plot in the move mode.

[Step 5] Adding plot(4) Upload and attach files of images etc.

Fig.(Upload data) : An Upload button is displayed next to items for which related files can be specified. Click the button to display Fig.(Upload data) . Click the Browse button and select a file in the File Selection window, and then click the File Transmission button to upload the file to the server. The URL of the upload destination is automatically set as the link destination URL.

Fig.(Changing plot data (2)) : Click the plot data you want to change. An input window almost identical to the one shown above in Fig.(Adding plot data (3)) appears with the existing data entries displayed in the text boxes; make the necessary changes and click the OK button to commit the changes.

Fig.(Reposition button) : To change the plot position, click the Reposition button Fig.(Reposition button) at the bottom of the change window displayed by clicking the Change button in the information entry window and then click the move destination. Please be aware that it may take several seconds before the plot data is actually reflected on the web page.
